Hooking Chicks

 Hey!  I drew 'em myself...pretty good for my first fowl ever!   The rug is around 22'x 30...I cut a rug runner in half to use as the canvas.  This one is going to Suzie and Don.

The other half of the runner is on our florida room....yeah, it's me and flowers again! 

No bark, no bite...really!

Although this pic lends doubt, Heire and Ratte love to play with each other.  Heire stretches out on the couch and Ratte attacks him.  They did this for over an hour last night until they finally made Joanse nervous!  (Imagine that!)

Outta the Witness Protection Program

Slow, but sure the hair is growing back!  Mostly we notice the color is redder and he's not hiding behind the pillow any more. 

At the moment it's a toss up between me and Thurston on which of us has the most hair.  Joanse has hers really short at the moment and loves it!

It's a Four Dog Week

Meet the latest visitors to our place.  Iris, the (almost hairless) Bernese Mountain dog, and Ratte, the chihuahua!  Their Momma, Heike, went north for Thanksgiving and we're taking care of the dogs.  

Roose's a little bitchy biddy toward them, but Heire is much more accepting.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow...

...but which one?  There are two in the sky and one in the river!  They lasted for almost a half hour.  I caught them coming back from the pool.

Who says Peter Pan isn't alive and well?  It sure looks like Kevin is flying so maybe the sand around here is really pixie dust!

While I was napping my camera was documenting the fun going on in the lake during Labor Day weekend. 

A boy, a dog and a lake on a warm summer day...of such memories are made.

They Have It Covered

Like a bridge over covered water...

This is the longest covered bridge around.  Don't remember where it's the longest, so let's just think longest and let it go at that.

We're in Ohio and pictured are me, Joanse and Cindy.

Now I wonder, is Suzy telling me to stop using so much salt, stop cracking my knuckles or just figuring out how to toss me in the river so she and Don can keep Heire.

Their home in Michigan is wonderful and reminescent of their Florida haven. 

We found a table and 4 chairs there for very little money at an estate sale!  The table is for Florida and the chairs stay here in Wisconsin.

Bella Imitates Johnnie's Teen Year Antics

Remember when Johnnie and his Uncle Gib had fun with a wig like this one Christmas?  It looks like his cat Bella is channeling the foolishness.
