Dogs R Us

 Our guests have gone home (fear not Stevie, they return before you get here and will be here when you arrive!)  They really entertained us whist they were here...of course the littlest one was the most..well everything.

See Ya Later Alligator

  Although there is some discussion on whether this is an alligator or croc (we're in the alligator camp), the one thing for certain is that it's a resident in our Little Manatee river!  This picture was taken right off the the big dock in the park!  He has been swimming back and forth in front of us recently because it is mating season and his girlfriend lives down the way under the highway.

He is estimated to be almost ten feet long - one foot for every inch of nose. 

 

Manatee Madness

We went to a garden party
to reminisce with some old friends.
We saw an ugly swimmer 
took its picture in the end. A manatee is so ugly it's cute.  They can stay underwater for up to 20 minutes but this fellow surfaced every 12 -13 seconds.  We've seen them in the river by us lots of times this year.  Along with dolphins and an alligator that's probably 10 foot long.  The weather has been cold...coldest one since 1984 so that may explain why there has been so much activity on the river.

Every Person Can Ogle These

  Joanze and I had a great time celebrating Pat's 65th birthday at Epcot on February 7th.  Pat got in free since it was his birthday.

We're going back soon as we got a second day for $20 - even though it has to be used within two weeks.

  Nah, this is a lip is on stallion.  Okay, that's not the way it's spelt, but it is the way it sounds.  Uncommonly known as Mike Jackson horses because they are born black and turn white....(bada boom)

I kept wondering where the lip is off horses were kept...

 

 

They were quite amazing, look at the feet in the next two pics....

Yes...all four feet are off the ground!

 

Before gunpowder these were war horses.  They jump in the air so they can kick the enemy with their back feet.

Pie and Gyro

Yes it was a good day.  After Joanse got her Remecade infusion we had a gyro in Largo and pie in Indian Rock.

Now, if we were back in Wisconsin, there's no way we'd drive 40 miles for lunch....that would be like driving from Neenah to Greenbay....but here it just doesn't seem like that big a deal.

Ah, the joy of youth is an inspiring thing!  Kevin spins with glee on Indian Shores beach as the sun goes down. 

 

 

 

 

Not one to be camera shy he helped us wile away the 3 hour wait for the alligator boat tour at Florida's Myakka state park.

 

Here he is with Fort DeSoto beach behind him..maybe he was celebrating his mother recovering the swimsuit she left in the bath house the day before!

diving into the warm weather...

  So while the rest of the country shivers their timbers we're enjoying the warm breezes of the Gulf in Tarpon Springs Florida.  Right after this cheesy shot we watched an even cheesier video about sponge diving. We had some delicious greek food later after working up an appetite wondering thru the local tourist traps.

Little Foot Little Foot Where are U Now?

Foot is almost uncontrolable..she keeps running outside (dragging the rest of the body parts with her) and looking at the sky for airplanes.  Little Foot is coming to see her and she is so excited!
